Topping Out celebrated at Murdoch Square

Hesperia and Aegis Health celebrated the topping out milestone at Murdoch Square alongside the Minister for Health and Mental Health the Hon. Amber-Jade Sanderson. The $450 million, 1.2-hectare development is the first stage of the State Government’s plan to transform the area into the Murdoch Health and Knowledge Precinct. The precinct will become the southern corridor’s home to health research and medical care, delivering significant economic benefits to Western Australia.

Murdoch Square Artist Announcement

Hesperia is pleased to announce Melissa Cameron; Rohin Kickett and Matthew McVeigh; and Anne Neil as the artists commissioned to create a series of public artworks at Murdoch Square. Following an extensive Expression of Interest (EOI) campaign, the four Australian artists were carefully selected to inject creativity into the community precinct, through works that reflect the values and intent of Murdoch Square.

Joining Aegis Aged Care and Courtyard by Marriot are Clinipath Pathology, Western Diagnostics Pathology and Ability WA, supported by retailers Sushia and Apothecary Taphouse, the latest venture from those behind the Wembley Hotel.

EOI for Public Art Commissions

To assist in bringing this vibrant hub of activity to life, Murdoch Square is seeking Expressions of Interest from Australian artists for public art commissions. The series of commissioned works are to be designed to reflect the values and intent of the project and contribute to public amenity.

Murdoch Health and Knowledge Precinct plans updated to better suit precinct needs

The updated plans place greater emphasis on the precinct’s aged care offering, office space, services, and medical facilities including a medihotel – the first facility of its kind in Western Australia that will provide much needed support for major hospitals nearby.
