Specialists: PainScience / Dr. Jonathan Ramachenderan

Jonathan is a Pain Medicine Specialist and an experienced General Practitioner who worked in Albany for 11 years in Anaesthesia and Palliative care before training as a Pain Specialist in the second season of his clinical career.

He completed his Pain Medicine training in 2025 and received the Merit Award for achieving the highest score in the fellowship exam in 2023.

In 2021, Jonathan received the Palliative Care Australia Award for Excellence in Generalist Palliative Care for his service and dedication to the Great Southern Palliative Care Service in Albany.

Jonathan’s interests include cancer pain management, pain in older adults, end-of-life care, acute pain management, and interventional pain medicine.
