Health Services: Child and Adolescent Health Service

The Murdoch Community Hub provides a ‘one-stop shop’ for universal, targeted and specialised service provision for CAHS consumers, within the Murdoch region. The Hub is supported by a network of existing smaller facilities in the local community, called Spokes, which will continue to provide services to families.

The co-location of CAHS services supports coordinated, child-centred care using a collaborative approach to service delivery, making it easier for children, young people, families and carers to access the support they need. The Hubs and Spokes are culturally secure and welcoming for Aboriginal and culturally and linguistically diverse individuals, as well as for all children and families in the local area.

Spread across three floors, the Hub includes the following CAHS services:

• Child Health
• School Health
• Child Development Service (CDS)
• Community Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS)
• Immunisations

Most of our smaller facilities around the community will remain open, allowing families to choose between accessing services at Murdoch or closer to home.
